A psychological thriller that gets into your body...
Based on Stephen King's novel of the same name.
Some stories don't let you go. They get stuck in your body and stay there long after the stage lights have gone out. Misery is theater for those who want to feel their pulse rise and darkness creep under their skin. This will be an intense theater encounter where you sit close to the stage and feel the tension quiver in the room.
Behind this turmoil lies a story that has captivated audiences for decades. A psychological thriller about obsession and captivity – written by William Goldman, based on Stephen King's international bestseller.
The performance is suitable for a young and adult audience from 16 years of age and up.
ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
One house. Two people. No way out.
The wind rips at the walls. Inside the bed lies Paula, the famous writer. Knocked out after a car accident. Isolated and alone. Without contact with the outside world. Without anyone knowing where she is.
Annie, the nurse with the gentle smile and warm hands, found her in the snow and saved her life. Paula's biggest admirer, who has devoured everything she's written. Repeatedly.
Now she has Paula all to herself. Annie calls it love. Care. Loving care back to life. But Paula gradually realizes that something is wrong, very wrong. She wrote for an audience. Now she writes for one.
The horror creeps under the skin.
