Field's Crop Lunch

Eat your way through the produce of the field. This is a lunch where food and story are intertwined, and where locally sourced ingredients meet the stories from the novel.

The Hamsun Center's facilitator and chef will put together a three-course meal inspired by ingredients and stories from Markens grøde. Along the way, the facilitator will read aloud from the book. The story of Isak and Inger is as touching and engaging today as it was when Knut Hamsun received the Nobel Prize in Literature a hundred years ago.

  • The food is locally sourced, seasonal and put together with care.

  • We have given classic dishes a modern twist.

  • Offered to groups of 10–20 people.

  • Can be purchased separately or as an addition to the meeting package.

  • Price is negotiable upon request.
