School visits and kindergarten visits

The Hamsun Centre and Knut Hamsun's Childhood Home offers guided tours for schools and kindergartens. As far as possible, we offer free guided tours, but this depends on available capacity and resources. Schools and kindergartens visiting us on their own without a guided tour have free regular admission. Teachers can enter for free in advance to prepare for the visit.

Fill out the form on this page and send us an inquiry. We will respond as soon as possible.

Get to know Hamsun at the time of his breakthrough, the creation of Hunger and psychological poetry.

In this dissemination program, students at VG3 are offered a professional day at The Hamsun Centre on Hamarøy. During the course of the day, the students will get to know Hamsun at the time of his breakthrough. The goal is to become familiar with Hamsun's youth, his literary program, and the creation of the breakthrough novel Hunger .

Schools must arrange a time for the visit themselves. Reservations can be made by email to DKS producer Kristoffer Nohr Unstad (kriuns@nfk.no) by Friday, August 14th.
