Billy Jacobsen (b. 1954) has a background from, among other things, the daily press and NRK.
He is the director of Filosofilandskap Lofoten AS, which he co-founded in January 2024. This is a company with the purpose of carrying out activities that promote the understanding and use of philosophy, including installations in landscapes.
In addition to his own writing, Jacobsen has edited and designed several books with Northern Norwegian themes. During Hamsunday Days you will be able to hear more about his latest book from 2025 , Anna i Markvatnet - Hamsuns venninne som ble krigshelt .

Billy Jacobsen invites you to a guided tour by bus from Oppeid to Kråkmo farm

With the book "Anna i Markvatnet", Billy Jacobsen became the first to tell the whole story of both Knut Hamsun's working stay at Kråkmo in Hamarøy, and his strange relationship with the farm's Sami servant, Anna. During Hamsunday Days, Jacobsen offers lectures outside at Kråkmo.
This will be a bus excursion, including a hot lunch and coffee on the way back. So remember to sign up!
