HAMSUNS FAMILY: BERGLJOT AND KNUTS CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT-GRANDMANN

Knut Hamsun's first wife: Bergljot Bassøe Beck (b. 17.4.1873, d. 13.4.1943) (Married to Edoard Göpfert 31.12.1893, divorced 1898. Bergljot Bassøe Beck Göpfert had his first child, Maria, called Vesla, with Edoard Göpfert on 29.7.1894.)

Bergljot and Knut Hamsun married on May 16, 1898, and divorced on April 20, 1906. They had one daughter:

Victoria Hamsun (b. 15.8.1902, d. 1980). Viktoria married the Englishman Dederick Charlesson (1896–1970) and settled in Honfleur, France. They had two sons:

1. Erik Lawrence Dederick Charlesson (b. 1926, d. ?). He had five children:

Lawrence Charlesson (b. 1949) lives in Devon, divorced and has a daughter, Victoria (b. 1985)
Richard Charlesson (b. 1955) lives in Cornwall
Roger Charlesson (d. aged 56)
Helen Charlesson (b. 1952), lives in Cornwall
Anne Marie Harrington (b. 1949), married to Malcolm Harrington (b. 26.8.1949). They have two children: Lise (b. 1990) and Emma (b. 1993).

2. Dederick Knut Charlesson (b. 1928). Dederick married Linette and settled in France. They had three children: Elizabeth, Catherine and Erik.
