It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V. 

Throughout his long career, King Harald has been a unifying figure for Norway and has left a deep mark through his warmth, wisdom, and strong belief in community. 

Through Her Majesty Queen Mette-Marit's commitment to literature and her long-standing role as the High Patron of the Hamsundanese, The Hamsun Centre a special connection to the Royal House. Our thoughts today go to the Queen and the entire Royal Family. 

We shine peace upon the memory of King Harald.

And evening comes, I put my chisel and chisel under a stone and rest. Everything is asleep, the moon rises in the north, the mountains cast gigantic shadows. It is a full moon, it looks like a glowing island, it looks like a round brass puzzle that I walk around and marvel at.
