The tower gets new cladding

1,300 square meters of facade, 140 square meters of roof, and windows and doors will be replaced when Nordland County Council has now started a total replacement of the center's facade.

The exhibitions from the 2nd floor and above will eventually be closed, but we will, as far as possible, keep Café Sult open as usual from Wednesday to Sunday, says acting director at The Hamsun Centre , Alvhild Dvergsdal.

The Adventure Hall, which is the village's main living room, will be available so that theater, cinema, and meetings and conferences will still be organized throughout the construction period.

It is absolutely necessary to use the parking lot below the main road if you are coming by car. The exception is visitors who use the handicap parking outside the Adventure Hall. Beyond that, the entire area around The Hamsun Centre be a construction site secured with fences.

The renovation work is planned to take around six months. Fauskebygg AS has been awarded the contract for the work and Nordland County Council owns the building and pays for the facade work. We are committed to good cooperation and good communication with the public and partners throughout the construction period.
