Proposes nine million more The Hamsun Centre
In the proposed state budget for 2027, the government proposes four million kroner for the revitalization of The Hamsun Centre , with a commitment of an additional five million in later budget years.
– We received the message with great joy here at The Hamsun Centre "This means that in the coming years we can work on renewing the exhibitions and the audience experiences. We can make much-needed upgrades, and we can develop new interesting projects," says Monica Celius, director of The Hamsun Centre , on behalf of the employees.

– The award will enable us to strengthen the purpose of updated, relevant and accessible dissemination of Knut Hamsun's literature, and safeguard the mandate as a regional lighthouse and a national center for the author and Nobel Prize winner, emphasizes Celius.
